Perth Football Club History Centre
The Perth Football Club’s “Redlegs to Demons” History Centre was officially opened on Wednesday 16th
June 2010. Proud Demons fan and ABC personality Peter Kennedy undertook the duties of MC. The event
was attended by approximately 70 people, with many luminaries of the Club’s past and present.
The History Centre was a project undertaken by the PP&OA in 2008 and is the creation of a lot of hard work
by many. The History Centre displays a large amount of valuable memorabilia dating back to the inception
of the club in 1899 right through to the current era.
Thank you to everyone who has assisted with this project including those who kindly donated their time
and trade expertise by assisting with painting, electrical work, signage and installing display and wall
cabinets. A special thank you needs to be made to Greg Dart who has done an outstanding job as Project
Leader. Greg has worked tirelessly and given up much of his own time and assisted with duties such as
meeting with other museum curators, sorting, cataloguing and displaying memorabilia, to painting and
ensuring adequate security of the History Centre.
The PP&OA is continuing to make improvements to the History Centre including access to a player names
data base. The club currently opens the History Centre by way of a gold coin donation on home match
days as well as Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm.
